Annual Report 2025–2026

Looking Ahead

There's a particular kind of hope that comes from watching people show up for each other, again and again, without being asked twice. That's what this year felt like from where we sit.

Every consultation, every training session, every late email answered on a Friday afternoon was, underneath it all, one person trying to make things a little easier for another. A council member learning they had more power than they realized. A home leader finally understanding how to be a partner instead of an obstacle. A caregiver finding a resource at exactly the moment they needed it. None of that shows up cleanly in a spreadsheet, but it's the real measure of a year like this one.

We're deeply aware that the people we serve are often tired, overwhelmed, and navigating a system that wasn't built to be easy. That awareness shapes everything we do, and it's why we don't take lightly the trust families place in us. This year reminded us that trust is built slowly, through consistency, and lost quickly if we're not paying attention. We tried to earn it every day.

We also don't want to pretend this year was without its hard moments. Growth is uneven. Some communities were harder to reach than others. Some conversations were difficult before they were productive. We're choosing to see all of that not as a shortfall, but as the honest cost of trying to do something meaningful — and as a map for where we still need to go.

What gives us hope heading into next year isn't any single number or milestone. It's the people. The staff who keep choosing this work even when it's hard. The volunteers and Champions who show up because they believe families deserve better. The partners who keep saying yes when we ask for help. And the families themselves, who trust us with some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Thank you for being part of this year with us. We don't know exactly what next year will bring, but we know we'll face it the same way we faced this one — together, and with care.
