The Ontario government has officially opened public consultations for the 2026 Budget. Ontarians can contribute feedback through in-person sessions, written submissions, or an online survey.
Budget decisions play a key role in shaping the future of long-term care—directly influencing funding, workforce development, and the quality of resident care. This consultation period offers an important opportunity for the long-term care sector to clearly voice its priorities, encourage sustained investment, and ensure the sector remains a key provincial priority.
How to Participate:
- Attend an in-person consultation session held across the province (Email MOFconsultations@ontario.ca for more information about how to attend an in-person consultation in your area)
- Submit written submissions by mail or online
- Complete the government’s online survey (survey closing date January 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.)
